USCL Code of Conduct :
 

 

The USCL Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behavior expected from players, team officials, and other stakeholders participating in the USCL cricket tournament.

 

Adopted in accordance with the principles set by the International Cricket Council (ICC), this code aims to uphold the spirit of the game and maintain the highest levels of sportsmanship.

  1. Preamble: Participants in the USCL shall adhere to the Spirit of Cricket, respecting both the laws and traditions that make cricket a unique and revered sport.
  2. Breaches of the Code: Any breaches of this code will be subject to disciplinary action as outlined in the USCL's Disciplinary Procedure.
  3. Offenses: The offenses outlined below apply to all matches and related activities under the auspices of the USCL.
  4. Level 1 Offenses:
    1. Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing: Any participant found guilty of willfully damaging cricket equipment or clothing.
    2. Using language that is obscene, offensive, or insulting: Participants shall not use language that is harmful or disrespectful.
  5. .Level 2 Offenses:
    1.  Showing dissent at an umpire's decision: Participants must accept the umpire's decision with dignity and without dissent.
    2.  Inappropriate and deliberate physical contact between players: Any unwarranted physical contact between players.
  6. Level 3 Offenses:
    1. Threat of assault on another participant: Any threat of physical harm to another participant.
    2. Using language or gestures that seriously offend, insult, or intimidate others: Any serious verbal or gestural misconduct.
  7. Level 4 Offenses:
    1. Physical assault of another participant: Any act of physical violence towards another participant.
    2.  Any act of violence on the field of play: Any violent act that endangers the safety of others on the field.
  8. Reporting and Investigation: All breaches of this code shall be reported and investigated as per the USCL Disciplinary Procedure.
  9.  Disciplinary Committee: The USCL Disciplinary Committee shall be responsible for assessing the severity of the breach and imposing appropriate sanctions.
  10. Appeals: Participants have the right to appeal decisions made by the Disciplinary Committee, following the procedures outlined in the USCL's Appeals Procedure.

 

Conclusion: By participating in the USCL, all stakeholders agree to abide by this Code of Conduct, ensuring fair play, respect, and the preservation of cricket's rich heritage.
